Terms of Service

Welcome to Celibrium. By creating an account and using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

By accessing and using Celibrium, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

Celibrium is a personal legacy preservation platform. It allows you to:

• Answer interview questions about your life and memories
• Record voice memories for preservation
• Upload photos and videos of meaningful moments
• Create a personal AI-powered Legacy twin that represents your voice and personality
• Share this Legacy with your family

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Celibrium account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the right and authority to enter into this agreement
• All information you provide is truthful and accurate
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Under-18 users may use Celibrium under parental or guardian supervision, but the person who creates the account (the account holder) must be 18 or older and remains legally responsible for all activity on that account.

You agree to:

• Protect your recovery code. Do not share it with anyone. It is your password-free access key.
• Use Celibrium lawfully. Do not use it for illegal purposes, harassment, or harm.
• Respect others' privacy. Do not upload content that violates someone else's privacy or rights.
• Provide accurate information. Your name and email must be true and yours to use.
• Not reverse-engineer the platform. Do not attempt to access our systems improperly or steal data.

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to any content you provide to Celibrium, including:

• Interview answers and personal stories
• Voice recordings
• Photos and videos

Your Grant to Us

You grant Celibrium a limited license to:

• Store and preserve your content
• Use your content to build your personal Legacy
• Generate responses from your content using AI, but only from your data alone
• Create a voice clone from your voice recordings for Legacy voice synthesis

Sharing with Authorized Recipients

When you invite someone to view a Legacy, they become an Authorized Recipient. Authorized Recipients are responsible for respecting the privacy and wishes of the person whose Legacy they access. Once information is intentionally shared with an Authorized Recipient, Celibrium cannot control how that individual further uses or discloses the information outside the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Celibrium is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages
• Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us
• We are not responsible for third-party services (ElevenLabs, Supabase, etc.)

This does not limit our liability for data breaches, privacy violations, or the Legacy Identity Principle commitments above.

While we work to keep Celibrium running smoothly, we cannot guarantee:

• 100% uptime or availability
• Error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers

We will provide reasonable support and fix critical issues promptly. For questions or problems, contact support@celibrium.com.

Your Legacy is a one-time purchase. Companion plans are optional recurring monthly subscriptions that add Connections; you can cancel a Companion subscription at any time, and it stops renewing at the end of the current period.

• Cancellation: You can delete your account at any time
• No Hidden Fees: Pricing is transparent; what you pay is what you pay

Refund Policy

• Customers may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
• Refunds are available only if the customer has submitted fewer than 30 interview responses.
• Approved refunds return 75% of the purchase price; 25% is retained to cover non-recoverable operational costs.
• Once a customer submits 30 or more interview responses, the purchase becomes non-refundable, even if the request is made within the 14-day period.
• Refunds after 14 days are generally not available except where required by applicable law.

You may not:

• Upload content that is illegal, hateful, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to access systems or data you don't have permission to access
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use Celibrium to impersonate someone else
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations or bypass restrictions
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from Celibrium without permission
• Use automated tools to abuse the service

Violation of these terms may result in account termination and loss of access.

Celibrium's design, features, code, and interface are owned by Celibrium LLC. You may not:

• Copy or modify our code or design
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our technology
• Use our branding or trademarks without permission

Your content is yours. Our platform is ours. This separation is important.

If you have a dispute with Celibrium, we will first attempt to resolve it informally. Please contact us at legal@celibrium.com with details.

If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the dispute will be handled under the laws of Maryland, USA. You agree to resolve disputes in Maryland courts or through arbitration.

You may terminate your account at any time. Simply request account deletion, and we will remove all your data.

We may terminate your account if you violate these terms or use Celibrium illegally or harmfully. We will provide notice where possible.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Critical changes to the Legacy Identity Principle will require your explicit consent. We will not weaken your privacy guarantees without your permission.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Celibrium regarding your use of our service. No other promises or agreements apply.
