At Celibrium, your family's stories belong to you—not to us, and not to anyone else. This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your data and respect your trust.
1. The Legacy Identity Principle
Every Legacy is built from one person alone. We call this the Legacy Identity Principle, and it is foundational to how we operate.
Your Legacy twin learns only from:
- Your interview answers and personal stories
- Your voice recordings and audio memories
- Your photos and videos
- Analysis of your language patterns and life experiences
- Your values, beliefs, and personality as you describe them
Your Legacy does NOT:
- Train shared AI models on your data
- Compare you to other Celibrium users
- Borrow memories or experiences from other people's Legacies
- Contribute to improving other users' twins
- Embed your memories into databases shared with other users
2. Data We Collect
When you use Celibrium, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and recovery code for access
- Interview Answers: Your written or recorded responses to questions about your life
- Voice Recordings: Audio files you record for voice memory preservation
- Media Files: Photos and videos you upload to preserve memories
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app (questions answered, sections viewed)
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only to:
- Build and maintain your personal Legacy twin
- Generate responses based on your own documented memories and personality
- Provide voice cloning specifically for your Legacy
- Preserve your family's stories for generations
- Improve Celibrium's core features (with your consent only)
What we do NOT do:
- Train AI models on your data
- Share your data with third parties for any AI or machine learning purpose
- Use your memories for marketing or advertising
- Analyze your data to predict behavior or create profiles for sale
- Aggregate your data with other users for any training or analysis
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based platform. We have verified with Supabase that:
- We disable all telemetry and analytics sharing
- Supabase does not train AI models on customer data
- Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Access is restricted to your account only
We maintain encryption for all sensitive data and follow industry best practices for security.
5. Data Deletion & Permanence
If you delete your Legacy, it is gone completely.
When you request deletion:
- All interview answers are permanently removed
- Voice recordings are deleted
- Photos and videos are erased
- Your account data is wiped
- No backups or copies remain in our systems
Because we do not train on your data or embed it in shared models, deletion is clean and complete. Your memories are not distributed across machine learning models or databases.
6. Third-Party Integrations
ElevenLabs (Voice Cloning)
If you use voice cloning, your voice recordings are sent to ElevenLabs to create a voice model. ElevenLabs operates under their own privacy policy. Your voice data is used only to create your personal voice clone and is not used for any other purposes.
Resend (Email)
Verification codes and recovery codes are sent via Resend, an email service. Email addresses are used only to send these codes and are not stored by Resend for any other purpose.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all your data
- Correction: Update or correct your information
- Deletion: Permanently delete your Legacy and all associated data
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
- Transparency: Understand how your data is used

8. Children's Privacy
Celibrium is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or technology. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of Celibrium after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
