Your answers belong to you. You can delete your Celibrium account and the data in it at any time, for any reason, without giving us one. This page explains how, and exactly what happens.
1. How to Delete Your Account
In the app or on the website — you do it yourself:
Open your account, choose Account & billing, and press Delete my account.
You will be asked to confirm once. Nothing is deleted by that first tap.
Nobody has to approve it and you do not have to give a reason. The account closes the moment you confirm.
If you cannot sign in — a lost password, a mailbox you no longer reach — write to us instead:
Send it from the email address on the account with the word DELETE in the subject or body. If you cannot reach that mailbox either, write anyway and tell us the name on the account and roughly when you created it — we will find another way to verify you before deleting anything.
2. What Happens Next
The account closes immediately. Nobody can open it and nothing new can be added to it.
A 14-day grace period follows, and it exists on purpose. Deletion is permanent, and a life's answers are not the kind of thing anyone should be able to destroy in a moment of anger or grief. Within those 14 days you can restore everything simply by signing in again. After 14 days it is gone and we cannot bring it back — not for you, not for your family, not for anyone.
If you would rather not wait, the same screen offers to finish the deletion immediately. It is your account.
Download first if you want to keep anything. During the grace period you can still download everything you have written — answers, photos, voice recordings. We would rather you left with your stories than without them.
3. What Is Deleted
Permanently, and beyond recovery:
- Every answer, story and message you wrote
- Your Digital Twin, and every version of it we ever built
- Your voice recordings and any voice clone made from them, including the copy held by our voice provider
- Your photos and videos
- Your conversations with your Twin
- Your name, email address, date of birth and every other personal detail
- Invitations you sent, and the access they granted
4. What We Keep, and Why
Two things survive deletion, and neither one can identify you or say anything about your life:
- Payment records — the amount, the date and the transaction id. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep these, and they hold no personal detail beyond the fact that a sale happened.
- A record that consent was given and later withdrawn — proof that we had permission while we held your data, and that you took it back. Deleting this would destroy the evidence that protects you.
Everything else goes. What remains is a scrubbed record with no name, no email address, and nothing you ever wrote.
5. If Someone Else Set Up Your Legacy
Legacies are sometimes created by a family member on behalf of a parent or grandparent. If a Legacy contains your stories and voice but someone else opened the account, write to us. The person the Legacy is about has the right to have it deleted, whoever paid for it.
